It is a largely mountainous state bounded by Myanmar (Burma), Bangladesh, and the states of Tripura, Assam, and Manipur. The various ethnic groups of Mizoram are known collectively as the Mizo, and they speak a variety of Tibeto-Burman languages and dialects.
