Overview

Assam is the main and oldest state in the North-East Region  of India and as the gateway to the rest of the Seven Sister State.  And very beautiful tourist place in India. The land of red river and blue hills, Assam comprises three main geographical areas: the Brahmaputra Valley which stretching along the length of the Brahmaputra river, and North Cachar Hills. Assam border with Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Manipur, Tripura, Mizoram and West Bengal; and there are National Highways leading to their capital cities. It also shares international borders with Bhutan and Bangladesh and is very close to Myanmar.

Meghalaya also state of  North-East Region  of India, Meghalaya also has many rivers and hill stations. Most of these are rain fed and seasonal. Meghalaya is the wettest place on Earth.

Itinerary

Day 1

Day 2

After breakfast, get ready to explore Cherrapunjee. Visit Seven Sisters Waterfall, Eco Park, NohKaLikai Falls, Arwah Cave, Wah-Kaba Falls & Garden of Caves. In the evening, return to your hotel/homestay and enjoy the beautiful evening. Overnight stay at Cherrapunjee. Nohkalikai Waterfalls - The Eco Park - Wakaba Falls Seven Sisters Waterfall - Arwah Cave - Garden of Caves

Day 3

Today, after breakfast, start your journey to Mawlynnong (it was awarded the prestigious tag of 'Cleanest Village in Asia' in 2003. Upon arrival do a short trek in the village & witness the local beauty. You can also visit Balancing Rock, Sky Viewpoint (Nohwet Viewpoint) & the longest living root bridge. Eat local lunch in the village. Then, we will proceed to the border town of Dawki, a hidden paradise. Upon arrival, visit the Umngot River in Dawki is crystal clear & is considered one the cleanest rivers in. You can do boating (at an additional cost). In the evening, get transferred to Shillong. Overnight stay at Shillong Mawlynnong - Balancing Rock - Sky Viewpoint - The Longest Living Root Bridge - Dawki

Day 4

After breakfast, check-out from the hotel & start your journey to Kaziranga. Kaziranga National Park is a protected area in the northeast Indian state of Assam. Spread across the floodplains of the Brahmaputra River, its forests, wetlands, and grasslands are home to tigers, elephants, and the world’s largest population of Indian one-horned rhinoceroses. Upon arrival check-in to your hotel and overnight stay at Kaziranga.

Day 5

Early morning, head out to explore one zone of the national park riding on an elephant (on your own). Later explore the other zone of the Park on Jeep Safari (at an additional cost). After an amazing experience at Kaziranga National Park, return to the hotel for a lip-smacking breakfast. Check-out from the hotel & proceed to Bhalukpong, which is the entry hub of Arunachal Pradesh & famous for archaeological ruins of King Bhaluka who was the grandfather of King Bana of Mahabharata fame. En-route visit Nameri National Park. Upon arrival, check-in to your hotel & rest of the day at leisure. Overnight stay at Bhalukpong Jeep Safari - Elephant Safari - Nameri National Park

Day 6

After Breakfast proceed to Sightseeing Bhalukpong. Bhalukpong is a nature lover's empyrean and adventure freak's delight. The town’s number of captivating trekking trails provide for a memorable time to all the avid trekkers and just in case, one is looking for an unmatched water adventure, the scenic ‘Kameng River’ flowing right through the heart of Bhalukpong, absolutely makes for an amazing destination to embark on some never-ending fun of river rafting, kayaking and angling. In case one is looking for sightseeing opportunities in Bhalukpong, the ‘Pakhui Wildlife Sanctuary’ and ‘Sessa Orchid Sanctuary’ make for the must visit places. If one is interested in some spiritual ecstasy, a wide array of Buddhist Monasteries sprinkle through the town and provide for a soul-captivating experience. Shopping in this little hamlet is a unique experience too; the beautiful silver ornaments and indigenous haversacks adorned with Jana flower motifs, a prized possession of the native tribes here are certainly a must-buy and make as great souvenir items.

Day 7

After breakfast, you will leave for the Guwahati airport/Railway station, bringing the experience to an end. It is now time to head back home with a plethora of good memories.
