Overview

Assam is the main and oldest state in the North-East Region  of India and as the gateway to the rest of the Seven Sister State.  And very beautiful tourist place in India. The land of red river and blue hills, Assam comprises three main geographical areas: the Brahmaputra Valley which stretching along the length of the Brahmaputra river, and North Cachar Hills. Assam border with Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Manipur, Tripura, Mizoram and West Bengal; and there are National Highways leading to their capital cities. It also shares international borders with Bhutan and Bangladesh and is very close to Myanmar.

Itinerary

Day 1

Day 2

On this day, post breakfast, start your travel towards Ziro village, located in the North of Itanagar. On the way, visit the Nyishi tribal village to get a glimpse of their unique culture and bamboo architecture houses. Upon arrival in Ziro, surround yourself with the ethereal natural as well as cultural landscapes of Arunachal. Take a walk through the highlands surrounded by the Apatani tribal villages like Diibo, Bulla, Hari, etc. Interact with the locals and admire their unique tattoos, which is a part of their tradition. Get mesmerized by the one-of-a-kind nose piercing of the Apatani women, a practice that has now been stopped. Overnight stay in Ziro.

Day 3

Post breakfast in the morning, head out to explore the Ziro Valley. In the morning you can visit Hong village to get an insight into the daily lifestyle of the Apatani Tribal people. Take a walk around the village and explore their unique houses made of wood and bamboo while you interact with the locals. You can also visit their farmlands to understand their own way of fishing. Visit the Hapoli market to shop for some local handicrafts, and jewelry made by the tribal people. Savor the local delicacies like rice beer or go for a wine tour at the local vinery, famous for its Kiwi wine. The evening is free for leisure, wherein you can peacefully sit amidst the lush green rice farms and watch a beautiful sunset. Overnight stay in Ziro valley

Day 4

After early morning breakfast, leave for Dibrugarh. Dibrugarh is known as the tea city of India. Upon arrival, check in to one of the hotels near the tea gardens Visit a Tea Factory and take a tour of the tea gardens and try tasting the teas. Overnight at Dibrugarh.

Day 5

After breakfast, head to Roing. Upon arrival visit Visit Mehao Lake, Mayodiya Pass and Sally Lake. Then proceed to Teju. En-route visit Bhismaknagar, the oldest archaeological site in the region. Then proceed to Teju. Upon arrival check-in to your hotel/Homestay. Overnight stay at Teju

Day 6

After breakfast proceed to visit Bhagwan Parshuram Kund (21 Kms North of Teju). Visit Lohit view Point. In the afternoon, start your journey to Dibrugarh Airport - for Depart to Home City.
